Freedom of Expression in the Arts

Date: November 14-17, 2024

FIRE and Philadelphia partner Root Quarterly will co-host an evening of discussion as part of Root Quarterly's Founder's Weekend. The event will feature a panel of artistic leaders who will speak on self-censorship, institutional neutrality, and the importance of promoting a culture of free expression in the arts. This is a unique opportunity to interface with local artists who may struggle to find their voice in an artistic scene mired in cancel culture and self-censorship.
