Code of Student Conduct: Rationale
University of Louisville
Relevant Excerpt
The University of Louisville is a community dedicated to the principles of free expression in which diverse views are encouraged and embraced. While the expression of an idea or point of view may be offensive or inflammatory to some, it is not necessarily a violation of the Code. The University values the open exchange of ideas, and the expression of controversial ideas and differing views is a vital part of the University’s mission. Opinions that may be unpopular and/or contrary to the University's values and objectives, but do not otherwise violate policy, will not be sanctioned.
