Bullying is defined by the Office of Residential Living as any act or threat that submits a member of the community to physical or mental pain, discomfort, indignity, or humiliation. Additionally, this includes actions and behaviors that intimidate, coerce, degrade, abuse, badger, harm, or negatively impact another person. This definition includes but is not limited to sexual orientation, gender expression, sex, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, ability, size, religion, age, and veteran status. This policy also includes situations in which roommates use bullying tactics to intimidate their roommate. Students who exhibit bullying behavior toward another student will be held accountable through judicial processes.
