Case Overview
San Antonio maintains a policy that restricts First Amendment-protected speech in the comment sections of its social media pages. The policy bans “discriminatory” and “profane” comments, information that “may compromise” the safety of the public, and “endorsement” of any non-government entity.
On August 19, FIRE wrote to the city explaining that it cannot constitutionally ban these and other comments.
