Discriminatory harassment is defined as verbal or physical
conduct that is directed at an individual because of his or her protected class, and that is sufficiently
severe, pervasive, or persistent so as to have the purpose or effect of creating a hostile work or
educational environment.

Sexual
harassment is defined as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, sexually motivated
physical conduct, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when: ... Such conduct has the purpose and effect of threatening an individual's employment; interfering
with an individual's work or academic performance; or creating an intimidating, hostile, or
offensive work or educational environment.

Yellow light: Student Conduct Code Procedure 12-13

Harassment of any member of the university community, placing any person under mental
duress or causing any person to be in fear through verbal abuse (including repeated telephone
calls or electronic messages), bullying, intimidation including, but not limited to, violence or threat of
violence, or personal vilification, including when such actions are based on age, sex, race,
color, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or national/ethnic origin.

Yellow light: Student Conduct Code Procedure 12-13

Students or organizations may be subject to university discipline for any of the misconduct
described below that occurs at any time on university-controlled premises or at university approved
or sponsored functions. ... Continued willful and disruptive behavior, profanity or vulgarity, or open and persistent
defiance of the authority of or persistent abuse of university personnel.
