Community Living Guide for Residence Halls: Harassment 10-11

i. No person shall physically or emotionally harass another person verbally, in writing or through the
phone, computer, etc. No person shall harass or stalk any person or group of persons. Telephone
harassment, email or computer harassment, stalking, racial and sexual harassment are included
under this policy.

Office of Equal Opportunity: Sexual Harassment Statute 10-11

The law of the State of Michigan prohibits discrimination in employment and in education and provides that:
Discrimination because of sex includes sexual harassment which means unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct or communication of a sexual nature when:
... Such conduct or communication has the purpose or effect of substantially interfering with an individual's employment, public accommodations or public services, education, or housing, or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive employment, public accommodations, public services, educational, or housing environment.

Internet Usage Policies

Community Living Guide for Residence Halls: Online Communication/ResNet Violations 10-11

Participation in on-line communities (i.e. Myspace, Facebook, You Tube), where residents are violating any of the above policies, and/or where we can identify the location as being WSU’s residence halls, is prohibited. Examples of such behavior include, but are not
limited to: sending verbal threats which harm or cause reasonable apprehension of harm, sending messages that are malicious or that a
reasonable person would find to be malicious; sending photos or videos of staff members or residents without their express permission, violating
policies and practices of the Student Code of Conduct, as well as State and Federal laws, distribution of inappropriate information and/or
confidential correspondence, posting offensive/incriminating photos, blogs, websites or videos.

Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources 10-11

The following behaviors are prohibited while using University information technology resources ... Sending messages that are malicious or that a reasonable person would find to be harassing.

No person shall be involved in disruptive or abusive behavior including but not limited to, physical abuse, verbal altercations, fighting,
destruction of property, snow ball fights, water fights, sports in the hallway/building (ball dribbling, hockey playing, skating, running,
rollerblading, bicycles, or scooters), and other violations of the Community Living Guide.
