Yellow light: Sexual Harassment 12-13

Conduct which may constitute sexual harassment includes: ... Sexual and/or gender-related speech, including insults, joking, advances, slurs, and comments; ... Visual or written sexual or gender-related insults, comments, drawings, posters, signs, jokes, and notes ....
Sexual harassment consists of unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when: ... The conduct or statement has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with work or class performance, or of creating an intimidating, hostile, and/or offensive work or classroom environment.

Yellow light: Student Conduct Code 12-13

Inappropriate conduct for which a Montevallo student may be disciplined includes, but is not limited to: ... Physical and/or psychological abuse, unlawful harassment (including sexual harassment), or threatening the health and/or safety of any member of the University of Montevallo community or campus visitor including harassment and abuse occurring through the use of various forms of technology and social media commonly referred to as cyber bullying; ... Other conduct adversely affecting the student’s suitability as a member of the academic community.

All members are committed to behaving, and expect others to behave, in ways that demonstrate beliefs about the respectful treatment of each member of the community. ... Bigotry has no place within the community, nor does the right to denigrate another human being on the basis of age, physical challenge, national origin, sexual orientation, race, gender, or religious affiliation.
