Free Speech Zones

All demonstrations or peaceful assemblies must be registered with the Director of Student Life or appointee at least 48 hours in advance. ... Demonstrations or peaceful assemblies are generally defined as any public manifestation of welcome, approval, disapproval, protest, or conscience by a student or groups of students.
At the time of the registration, the student or groups of students will be advised
by the Director of Student Life or designee of any guidelines that will be
required for the demonstration or peaceful assembly. Guidelines may include
the time, place, and duration of the demonstration or assembly and the
maximum number of people who may participate.

Green light policy: Student Handbook: Student Rights and Responsibilities 12-13

It is assumed that the student as a citizen has the rights of freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of peaceful assembly and association, freedom of political beliefs, and freedom from personal force and violence, threats of violence and personal abuse.
Students enjoy the same basic rights and are bound by the same responsibilities to respect the rights of others as are all citizens.
