FIRE releases several publications a year that assist students, faculty, administrators, and lawmakers in First Amendment issues affecting higher education. FIRE's Guides are the most distributed publication by FIRE, with more than 200,000 copies given away to students free of charge. Other publications include FIRE's Spotlight on Speech Codes Reports, The Lantern: The Academic Journal of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, The FIRE Quarterly, FIRE's newsletter released to supporters four times a year, and the Annual Report.
