On Fresno State’s termination of Lars Maischak
FIRE is aware of reports that California State University, Fresno terminated professor Lars Maischak after reports surfaced of his tweet from his since-deleted account in which he stated that “Trump must hang.”
We are concerned by the potential threat to freedom of expression posed by the incident. We have launched an investigation of the matter and are reaching out to Professor Maischak in order to ensure a complete and accurate understanding of the facts and to evaluate potential courses of action.
