On a day when a major American city lies in ruins, and thousands of our fellow citizens literally fight for their lives, discussions of academic freedom and free speech feel just a bit hollow. While we will (of course) continue our fight for liberty on campus, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of Hurricane Katrina. As usual, Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit
